With over twenty albums and sales of more than ten million records worldwide, Spyro Gyra is one of the most prominent and commercially successful bands in jazz history. Between 1980 and 1985, the band won seven Grammy Awards. In November 2022, the band came to Germany to perform at the Leverkusen Jazz Days. WDR recorded the concert for ‘Rockpalast’. “Art manifests itself in a variety of styles and contexts. That’s why we started making music in the first place,” says the band. The band demonstrated this at their concert on 7 November 2022 at the Leverkusen Jazz Days, which will be available on CD/DVD everywhere from end of February.
