Birth Control – COLLECTORS PREMIUM “Jungle Life / Getting There”
After a 10-year hiatus, BIRTH CONTROL played a reunion concert at the Balver Höhle on 21.08.1993. The media hardly took note of this—much less the fans. During the tour through Germany and Switzerland that followed, BIRTH CONTROL was celebrated frenetically.
Although management missed the opportunity to sign a deal with a major during this phase, the band released album after great album. In 1996 and 1998 respectively, ‘Jungle Life’ and ‘Getting There’ were released by niche labels.
During this time keyboarder Xaver Fischer took over the songwriting without breaking away from their style, character or tradition.

‘Getting There‘ was the last album with Horst Stachelhaus on bass before passing away on 20.05.1999 from a rare form of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
For the bonus tracks we have fantastic recordings on both CDs from the concerts in Pratteln (CH) 1999, as well as two songs from the highlight concert in 1996 at the Bullentempel in Rendsburg (with “Hamburg Blues Band”, “Inga Rumpf” and “Man”).
